What is MPF? |

MPF refers to Mandatory Provident Fund. If you have an MPF account with Hang Seng Bank, you may enquire its balance, account return, contribution history and fund performance, change its investment allocation, as well as view its MPF e-Statement/e-Advice with our Personal e-Banking. If you do not have an MPF account with Hang Seng Bank, the MPF function in the Personal e-Banking will be disabled. |

The MPF Conservative Fund under the Hang Seng Mandatory Provident Fund - SuperTrust Plus uses method (i) and therefore, its unit prices, net asset value and fund performance quoted have reflected the impact of fees and charges.

Can I access MPF Services in Hang Seng Personal e-Banking if I am an MPF member of Hang Seng MPF but do not have any Hang Seng Bank account? |
A: |
Yes, you can access our MPF Services in Hang Seng Personal e-Banking by registering with your MPF membership number and MPF phone PIN.
However, you can enjoy more online banking services in addition to MPF services if you register Hang Seng Personal e-Banking with your integrated account or credit card account of Hang Seng Bank. Should all your Hang Seng Bank account(s) be terminated subsequent to the registration of the Hang Seng Personal e-Banking, you have to re-register the MPF Services in Hang Seng Personal e-Banking again with your MPF membership number and MPF phone PIN.

Change of Investment Allocation |

What investment instruction can I make through Personal e-Banking? |
A: |
You can select from the four investment options to switch your investment allocation into Constituent Fund(s) of your own choice or Default Investment Strategy (DIS).
To switch into Constituent Fund(s) of your own choice, you can choose from the following options under the 'Switch into Constituent Fund(s) of your own choice' section:

Portfolio Rebalance: change both existing investments and new contributions. |
- |
Asset Switch: change your existing investments only, the investment allocation of your new contributions will remain unchanged. |
- |
Contribution Redirection: change the investment allocation of your new contributions only, the investment allocation of your existing investments will remain unchanged. |
To switch into DIS, you can click the 'Default Investment Strategy' button under the 'Switch into MPF Default Investment Strategy' section to switch both of your existing investments and new contributions into DIS, a ready-made investment arrangement.
As the investment allocations for DIS are pre-set for you, you are not required filling in your new fund allocation.
For further details of DIS, please refer to the MPF Scheme Brochure.
The above new contributions also include any accrued benefits transferred from another Registered Scheme. |

How do I know if my investment instruction has been accepted? |

After you have
entered all your instruction details, you will be prompted to confirm
your instruction. Your instruction will be considered as accepted only
when an acknowledgement page with reference number is shown. |

How do I know if my investment instruction has been successfully processed? Will Hang Seng MPF send any written confirmation notice to me by mail? |
A: |
A confirmation notice will be sent to your "Inbox" in Hang Seng Personal e-Banking (desktop version) if the instruction has been successfully processed and no written confirmation notice will be sent to you by mail. You can also go to Hang Seng Personal Banking mobile app and tab "Contribution / transaction history" to view the instruction that has been processed successfully.

Can I make investment
instruction any time of the day? |

We will accept your request any time of the day. However, if your instructions reach us at or before 4:00 pm (Hong Kong time) on any business day, the
- instructions on portfolio rebalance or asset switch will normally be processed on the same business day and be completed within two business days (excluding the day of receipt of your instruction by us); or
- instructions on contribution redirection will normally be processed on the same business day and be completed within one business day (excluding the day of receipt of your instruction by us).
However, the relevant information may not be updated simultaneously to this website. For details, please refer to the "Service Processing Time" section on Hang Seng MPF website (hangseng.com/empf).
If your instructions reach us after 4:00 pm (Hong Kong time) on any business day, or at anytime on a Saturday, public holiday or other non-business days, the
- instructions on portfolio rebalance or asset switch will normally be processed on the following business day and be completed within two business days (excluding the day and the following day of receipt of your instruction by us); or
- instructions on contribution redirection will normally be processed on the following business day and be completed within one business day (excluding the day and the following day of receipt of your instruction by us).
However, the relevant information may not be updated simultaneously to this website. For details, please refer to the "Service Processing Time" section on Hang Seng MPF website (hangseng.com/empf).
If your instruction on "Portfolio Rebalance" or "Asset Switch" is to switch investments from Default Investment Strategy to Constituent Fund(s) of your own choice, those investments will not be subjected to the de-risking process after completion of "Portfolio Rebalance".
When your fund switching instruction(s) are being received prior to or on the annual date of de-risking and being processed on such date, the annual de-risking may be deferred and the annual de-risking will only be completed after completion of such fund switching instruction(s).
If the processing of your "Portfolio Rebalance" or "Asset Switch" instruction is scheduled on any day that
(i) the transfer of accrued benefits under Employee Choice Arrangement ("ECA Transfer") is to be processed, or
(ii) the refund of long service payment/severance payment ("Refund of LSP/SP") is to be processed, or
(iii) the claim of accrued benefits on the ground of attaining the retirement age of 65 in a lump sum or on the ground of terminal illness or partial withdrawal of voluntary contributions ("Withdrawal of benefits") is to be processed, or
(iv) on any of the consecutive days that ECA Transfer , Refund of LSP/SP and/or Withdrawal of benefits is/are to be processed,
the processing of your instruction will be postponed to the next business day after the day(s) that such ECA Transfer, Refund of LSP/SP and/or Withdrawal of benefits is/are being processed.
In any of the above circumstances, the processing of any further instruction made before the processing of any prior pending consecutive Portfolio Rebalance instruction(s), Asset Switch instruction(s), ECA Transfer, Refund of LSP/SP and/or Withdrawal of benefits will be postponed to the next business day after the day(s) that such pending consecutive Portfolio Rebalance instruction(s), Asset Switch instruction(s), ECA Transfer, Refund of LSP/SP and/or Withdrawal of benefits is/are being processed.
Please note that if the transfer* or claim of accrued benefits of your MPF account is processed on the same day with your change of investment instruction, your change of investment instruction will not be processed if your MPF account will be terminated after processing your transfer or claim of accrued benefit.
* Include the transfer of accrued benefit from your contribution to a personal account if we have not received your transfer/claim instruction within 3 months after we are notified by your employer about your cessation of employment.
The above processing time is for reference only. Your instructions will be processed as soon as possible, however HSBC Group shall not be liable for any delay.

Note: You are advised to check your Personal e-Banking Profile frequently and periodically to read the MPF e-Statement(s)/e-Advice(s). |

What happen if my mail box is full or there is insufficient mailbox capacity for receiving the e-Reminder? |

If your mail box is full or there is insufficient mailbox capacity, the e-Reminder will be returned to us. We will try re-sending it to you, if practicable. If the e-Reminder cannot be received by you successfully, we will terminate your MPF e-Statement/e-Advice service. We will send you the confirmation notice of service termination and relevant MPF statement(s) and/or advice(s) (if any) in paper format to your correspondence address on our MPF record. Confirmation notice of service termination will also be sent by SMS to your mobile phone number on our MPF record. If the MPF Member Benefit Statement has failed to reach you according to your correspondence address, we may deliver that Member Benefit Statement to you through your employer, if applicable. |

Can I change my designated email address for receiving the e-Reminder? |

Yes. If you are a Hang Seng MPF scheme member who possesses a bank account with Hang Seng Bank and has applied for the Hang Seng Personal e-Banking service with a security device, you can log on to Hang Seng Personal e-Banking to update your email address of your Bank and MPF records simultaneously. You can also
complete and submit the Personal Details Change Form (HA91)
to change the email address in our MPF record.
Note: If you have changed your email address, please inform us immediately for updating the record to ensure timely receipt of the e-Reminder. |

No. You cannot register the MPF e-Statement/e-Advice service by account level. Once you have registered for the MPF e-Statement/e-Advice Service, it will be automatically applied to all your active MPF accounts under the Hang Seng Mandatory Provident Fund - SuperTrust Plus. |

If I want to update the contact details of my MPF account(s), can I do the updating through Personal e-Banking? |

You can logon to Hang Seng Personal e-Banking to update the mobile number, email address and residential address in our Bank and MPF records simultaneously by using a security device.
If you are a Hang Seng MPF scheme member who possesses a bank account with Hang Seng Bank and has applied for the full access to Hang Seng Personal e-Banking service with a security device, you can update the mobile number, email address and residential address of your MPF account through Hang Seng Personal e-Banking. For updating other contact information (such as fax number), please complete and return a Personal Details Change Form (HA91) to our MPF Administrator for the updating.
If you are (i) a sole Hang Seng MPF scheme member without possessing a bank account with Hang Seng Bank; or (ii) a Hang Seng MPF scheme member who also possesses a bank account with Hang Seng Bank but has not applied for the full access to Hang Seng Personal e-Banking service with a security device, please complete and return a Personal Details Change Form (HA91) to our MPF Administrator for any updating of your contact information.
